Review on ๐Ÿฉฒ 2022 De Soto Riviera RTS3 Triathlon Shorts by Mark Crawford

1 " Hole - Inner Thigh

I have ordered them for a number of races planned for this summer. The shorts arrived quickly and were in the box by race day. The effects of COVID and all races have been cancelled. So I took the tags off my shorts and rode 60 miles. After washing my hands once, I went on a short 20-mile ride and found my inner right thigh becoming increasingly restless. Looking down, I notice an inch-sized hole in the pants. It wasn't at the seam, just down the middle of the panel. I'm not sure how it got there, but I'm sure I was very wary of a pair of $150 triathlon shorts. Needless to say, I'm disappointed that my shorts cost me about $2 a mile and I haven't even hit centenary yet.

Pros
  • The 7mm Clasico Integrated Pad replaces the older version of the Ceramico Pad. Pillows of the same size, thickness, density and buoyancy. It's still an integrated lining, meaning all panels are stitched around the lining, it has no seams in the middle. We removed two layers of lamination that created a stiff feel, especially when the shorts were new. The new Clasico pad looks less flashy and stretches more than the previous Ceramico pad.
