Description of ๐Ÿฉฒ 2022 De Soto Riviera RTS3 Triathlon Shorts

Body - 80% nylon / 20% elastane. Pad - 80% polyester / 20% elastane. drawstring closure. Forza Compressor leg panels help reduce delayed onset muscle fatigue. Liftfoil3 center panels improve durability and make swimming without a wetsuit faster! Longer, 3-inch Mobius Comfort Compression Leg Band offers equally graduated compression around the legs, you get the same support with no tightness and squeezing. Previous model had 2-inch leg band. 7mm Clasico Integrated Pad replaces the older version Ceramico pad. The pad is the same size, thickness, density, and buoyancy. It is still an integrated pad, meaning that all the panels are sewn around the pad, it has no stitching down the middle. We removed two layers of lamination which caused a perception of stiffness, especially when the short was new. The new Clasico Pad looks less obvious, and it allows the pad to stretch more than the previous Ceramico pad. Seamless inner thigh eliminates friction. 1 inch longer inseam than previous version (RTS1). 9.5" inseam on size medium. Mid to low-rise waist band with an adjustable drawstring. Two Waterlid Pockets - one on side of each leg. These pockets are hydrodynamic when swimming without a wetsuit and provide storage solutions for the bike and run. This enviro-friendly innovation is completely free of solvents. Not recommended for repeated use in a chlorinated pool. Made in USA. Please do NOT assume your sizing. REFER TO OUR SIZE CHART IMAGE FOR ACCURATE SIZING GUIDANCE. Inseam: Small 9", Medium 9.5", Large 10", X-Large 10.5". Front Rise: Small 9", Medium 9.5", Large 10", X-Large 10.5". The Best Shorts You Can Buy

Extremely high-quality cycling shorts for me. I usually fall between size M/L and bought the large and it's perfect for the sporty person. I'm definitely glad I didn't go for medium, if you're even close to between sizes you'd better go up a size or expect them to come back.

Pros
  • Body - 80% Nylon / 20% Elastane. Lining - 80% Polyester / 20% Elastane
Cons
  • There are other interesting options.

wow, they are tight! Incredibly tight!

The size chart says I should order a medium size. I have a pair of De Soto 400 mile shorts and I know the De Soto shorts run small. So I ordered the Riviera in bulk. I can hardly put these shorts on! They are very tight around the legs, debris and buttocks. Like everywhere! For reference, I'm 5 feet 7 inches, 150 pounds, waist 31 inches. I have three oversized zoot shorts that fit great. All my regular PI short bikes are big. The Rivieras are ridiculously narrow. I can exchange for XL. I haveโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Please DO NOT rely on your size. SEE OUR SIZE CHART FOR EXACT SIZE INFORMATION. Front lift: small 9", medium 9.5", large 10", large 10.5". Back Height Inseam: Small 11.5", Medium 12", Large 12.5", X-Large 13"

1 " Hole - Inner Thigh

I have ordered them for a number of races planned for this summer. The shorts arrived quickly and were in the box by race day. The effects of COVID and all races have been cancelled. So I took the tags off my shorts and rode 60 miles. After washing my hands once, I went on a short 20-mile ride and found my inner right thigh becoming increasingly restless. Looking down, I notice an inch-sized hole in the pants. It wasn't at the seam, just down the middle of the panel. I'm not sure how it gotโ€ฆ

Pros
  • The 7mm Clasico Integrated Pad replaces the older version of the Ceramico Pad. Pillows of the same size, thickness, density and buoyancy. It's still an integrated lining, meaning all panels are stitched around the lining, it has no seams in the middle. We removed two layers of lamination that created a stiff feel, especially when the shorts were new. The new Clasico pad looks less flashy and stretches more than the previous Ceramico pad.
