I was going to give this one 2 stars but I increased it to 3 stars because it may not be a solution for a Dyson vacuum. I have two long haired dogs and lots of dandruff that collects as a gray mealy consistency in a vacuum container. That's where the smell is strongest, and through the beads it smells like a dirty dog covered in another smell. I really hoped the bullets could eliminate the smell in my vacuum, or at least give it a fresher cedar smell, but all it did was mix with and compete with the dog's smell. The smell of pearls didn't interrupt the dog smell. At the same time, the cylinder of this vacuum cleaner is made entirely of plastic and rubber. There is no cloth material inside the vacuum cleaner that is found in canister vacuum cleaners. It was difficult to fill and keep in the cylinder - I had to level the vacuum to reattach the cylinder to keep the balls from falling out, so maybe it's just not the right product for me. Vacuum.
