I rarely write reviews like this but this product works fantastic. My husband found this vacuum cleaner on the side of the road. Someone obviously threw it away because they couldn't get rid of the dog smell that came out of that vacuum cleaner every time you used it. It was terrible. Changing the filter didn't help. Well I added 2 caps of Fresh Wave and bam the smell is gone!

If you have dogs and a sporty husband, oh you probably know the harsh air that comes out of your vacuum cleaner between carpet cleaning. Well, this stuff gets rid of all the smell when vacuuming. That's great! I'm a fan of cleanliness and smell in the house, and this thing helps me keep my sanity!

I bought this product based on positive reviews but when I tried it it smelled like rotten Irish spring which was just as bad as the smell I was trying to get rid of. The ingredients list anise and a few other things, but what I smell is the same old musty smell, partially masked by a mishmash smell that doesn't really mask anything. As a last resort, I just use cedar wood shavings, and I think that's as good as it gets.

I have 3 dogs, a carpet and a Kirby vacuum. After a use or two it starts smelling like I've had 10 wet dogs in my pantry, that's the smell I get when vacuuming. I bought them hoping they would help with this smell. I have to use at least 2 cups every time I vacuum. I wasn't expecting the house to smell nice, but I expected it would help control the smell from the bag itself. Once I finish this bottle I doubt I will buy more. Perhaps this would work better in a household with fewer dogs.

Wow. My old vacuum cleaner smelled horribly. Absolutely terrible. I have 3 dogs. I added these balls to my first vacuum and it reduced the smell by about 50%. I thought so far so good. I left them there with the vacuumed stuff (vacuum canisters) and next time it dropped to 20%. After extensive research and recommendations from Consumer Reports I bought a new vacuum with a bag to deep clean pet hair from carpet. Works perfectly. With a new bag on second use, the airflow in those expensive bags will leave your house smelling like wet dog. Basically, I would have to replace the vacuum bag every time I use it, so twice a week. I have a Dyson Ball pet vacuum that stinks a lot. I vacuum every day and because of the smell I didn't feel like doing it at all; it was hard. After looking at various Revain products, I settled on this one. I just pour a cap of small beads onto the carpet and vacuum. The "bad" smell disappears. I was going to give this one 2 stars but I increased it to 3 stars because it may not be a solution for a Dyson vacuum. I have two long haired dogs and lots of dandruff that collects as a gray mealy consistency in a vacuum container.
