Review on 🖥️ eKL HDMI KVM Switch: Dual Monitor Extended Display 4K@60Hz, Audio, USB 2.0 Hub - PC Monitor Keyboard Mouse Switcher by Michael Wilson

I bought this against my common sense as it only had one review. Seems like I should have followed my intuition. Where do we start, let's just hit the low notes. Keyboard compatible. I'm using a Dell keyboard and the sound buttons don't work, which is annoying when trying to adjust the volume in a Teams meeting. A review said to plug the keyboard into one of the USB ports. Well then why do you have a keyboard and mouse port? Also, I need two USB ports for switching. For some reason on a laptop the audio cuts out when I switch and the speakers don't go through KVM. I thought a small remote control would be handy, but I have to press it many times and in different directions before it switches. The external IR didn't matter, so it's probably the remote control. I had serious problems this morning trying to get a laptop to respond to the keyboard. I restarted it and used the reset button on KVM. It took 3 reboots and 2 resets for it to respond. It's Windows 10, so I'm not 100% blaming KVM, but it was definitely a factor. For the final kicker, I typed an email and the damn thing switched to another laptop. Support could say that I somehow pressed the toggle button, but I doubt it. Again, they suggest using one of the two USB ports as they can't turn off the mouse and keyboard. It has potential as the displays look good but I have too many quirks to keep using it. wait gen 2
