I had to lower the humidity in my apartment for health reasons. As I live in a 3rd floor apartment, a full size dehumidifier would be too big to fit in my limited space and too noisy for my downstairs neighbors. This block is the perfect size for my needs. I placed it in an area that covers my living and dining area (about 300 square feet). This has reduced the temperature/humidity in these areas by approximately 2 degrees/5%. However, the vehicle took some time to acclimate to the area. Installed on Saturday evening. He pulled about 1/2 inch of water out of the air every 24 hours. The tank was full in 7 days. The only drawback of this device is that the shape of the tank does not allow the collected water to be completely drained. There is a small hole with a rubber stopper through which it is emptied. However, since the aquarium does not have a flat bottom, a small amount of water (about 1/8 inch) will remain on either side of the center edge. I tried draining the water from the tank through the small hole at the top but still not all the water came out. There must be a way to remove the top of the tank for draining, but I couldn't find one. For this reason, the device only gets 4 stars. But I'm considering buying a second unit for my bedroom as the first one works so well.
