Review on 🏎️ SunplusTrade Black Matte Powder Coated Aluminum License Plate Frame with Screw Caps - 2 Pieces, 2 Holes by Michael Straughter

Revainrating 2 out of 5

Wrong screws, frame too big, mounting holes too wide and short. I do not recommend.

The appearance and packaging of the frames were fine. The included small cap screws that fit into the plastic washers do not have the same thread pitch or point as regular license plate screws. This made the installation unnecessarily complicated as it was supposed to take 2 minutes. The tight thread pitch of the flat tip mounting screw they sent didn't go through a hole in the frame or a hole in the bracket so I had to put a lot of force on it and punched each thread through a small opening in the frame and sounded like it would I break something A flat point also doesn't fit well in holes in a car, which I believe is why regular license plate screws have a pointy point and less tight threads. Screws with tighter threads were also difficult to screw in because they did not match the pitch of the hole. also forces them to close the tabs on your license plate if it shifts too much. This causes objects to wobble when trying to insert pan head machine screws into holes with a different thread pitch. The frame is also too big for the plate, resulting in the tabs on the inner bottom frame being too short to hold the frame onto the plate. Too much clearance between frame, bottom tabs and holes that are too wide but not high enough. The whole system is sloppy, poorly connected and not easy to install. I took off a cheap plastic dealer plate frame that fit the plate snugly, had the holes in the right size and position, and had no sloppy play. . Given all of that and using the right screws, the installation was a lot easier. I cannot in good conscience recommend this product to anyone. I would like to buy a cheap plastic frame like the ones the dealers have as it fits better and is easier to assemble.
