I have had over 10 irrigators over the years. None of them have ever lasted very long, especially the Water Piks (less than 6 months old. Some other brands have lasted a bit longer, +/_ year. These devices are not cheap. But they have become indispensable tools in my experiments, them to keep my teeth healthy. But I have no idea, don't know how long this one will last. Larger models and brands with tubing and separate liquid reservoirs need to remove all traces of moisture when storing or they will rust. Haven't tried it. if this has happened with the standalone units i have bought but time will tell the only complaints about this unit at the moment are how quickly it drains the tank on the highest setting and the awkward position of the in- / off switch.
