I love these electric coffee grinders. I have some. Most have a button at the top so they sit at the end of the grinder. You either use a lid if you have one, or leave salt or pepper on the table — which doesn't always make much of a difference. But most have cases if you want to use them. These are better. You turn them to work. There is no button on the top to force them to grind so they can sit against the grinder on the top end. You don't need a lid and no marks are left on the table. I have other similar ones that work by flipping them. Others I have have a lid (which you don't need) and a backlight. It doesn't have a light, which isn't usually needed anyway, although it's nice. But it has a power button, which I've never seen on others. If you want to flip it without friction, the power button is for you. My other ones that work by flipping them don't have a power switch, so they always work when you flip them whether you like it or not. So without a backlight, but with a power button. I would choose the power button.
