These long cable/shackle TSA locks are great for connecting zipper pullers to other parts of the bag. I haven't used them for travel but there is a TSA keyhole for verification. The padlocks were beautifully boxed in a cardboard box and individually sealed with ziplock bags. The instructions for setting the preferred code are easy to follow. I gave this 4 stars because of a feature I don't like. Most newer locks allow you to insert the shackle into the locking bar when the locking mechanism is closed or timed open (meaning you have the right combination of OPEN positions). With this lock you cannot insert the shackle until the combination has been calculated correctly. I have a habit of readjusting the locking mechanism after loosening the shackle as a precaution and then returning the shackles when it's time to lock it again. I'm sure most people don't care, but it would certainly be better if you could put the shackle back into the locking mechanism and lock it instantly when the timer is in the closed position.
