I bought this item for my son to help him swing the ball. From the time he started playing baseball until now in his teens. high, he never swung over the ball. Although we didn't use them as much as I think we should, they showed an improvement in his shots. Now he dribbles better than ever. I don't think it's because he's getting stronger; he's 14. My son has no motivation to exercise to increase strength, mobility or flexibility and so I'm making great strides to improve him with these weight balls. I have other weighted balls larger than a baseball that we use to relax and strengthen his arm and we use these as well. I think this is a great deal and would recommend it to any parent looking to give their player a gift, any player looking to improve their hitting technique, and coaches looking for an incredibly durable hitting machine.
