Well-priced, well-cut and well-fitting swim cap. When I put it on for the first time, it sits on my head. It stretches a bit and has some thickness, unlike lower quality swim caps (the caps are gauzy and stretch like crazy). I have used it several times and so far it has protected my hair from chlorinated water. When I apply it gently, I find that my hair stays dry even after an hour of snorkeling. My hair gets a little wet sometimes, but that's okay. I feel comfortable with it when I go to a public beach or swimming pool. In addition to the water treatments, there may be other substances in the water that I don't need in my hair and scalp. Wearing this cap means I have to wash my hair less after bathing, which is better for my hair. I am happy with the purchase!
