Turned on for the first time everything seems to work fine but I only checked one band. Then I tried to use it a few days later. And after just a few minutes, he stopped cutting and sealing the tape. Sent the product back and Revain sent a replacement which ALSO broke on first use! He just stopped heating the wire, which happened to the first. Revain's customer service has been fantastic and gives me my money back. I just think it's a crappy product. I don't usually take the time to write reviews, but I feel I should, because this device is so cheaply made. I only used it for a small thin ribbon to make hair bows for my kid so that wasn't the case. It's not like I'm having heart surgery or anything! Now I'm going to use regular scissors and a lighter to seal the ends. Too bad it didn't work but I think it's overpriced for something that obviously doesn't hold up well.
