Review on 🧹 Neato Robotics XV-12: The Ultimate Automatic Vacuum Cleaner by Cristina Franklin

This is an update. Here it is, August 2015, and I'm without a vacuum. WHY DO YOU ASK? Well, that's because the LED screen is dead. and HEATO will not repair them itself. They want me to contact the supplier, then I need to schedule that supplier to send it for repair. So a summary of that. LED screen (approx. 1.3 x 1.8 inches). The actual manufacturing cost of this device is $6.72. The cost to me from the supplier is $145. I have to have insurance for shipping because of the weight $42. and the size of the package. The cost that the seller is charging me to replace the LED, reprogram the device (this is an updated reading board because the old one had a problem and of course NEATO is not recalling it. because they are not a big huge company, which has to be held accountable for using faulty goods so the labor cost for me is $100. All in all it's $287 plus tax which I didn't calculate and don't intend to take the time to but it's within the In the range of $25-$26 which brings the total cost to over $300 so for the price I paid for a NEW unit I can fix this thing and was replaced with a smile and "sorry" It was a great customer service, only took 3 days to get a replacement after one call and I didn't have to send the old one back until the new one arrived although I had to d actually give them a credit card, I have those faulty not returned. so they could charge me 2. but it seemed fair. but this is wrong. If your device fails due to a defective item even after 3-4 years and they know it is defective because they no longer use the original LED screen, they should offer to repair it at a good and fair price. Don't force you to use a vendor who will rape you and take you away. So my final "rating" for NEATO isn't really "NEATO" after all. I give the vacuum cleaner 5 stars. I give the company about 1.5 stars. I do not recommend this product to anyone. You have a long and easily researched quality issue. They don't support their product long-term. They have constant problems with software updates and electronics problems that they don't support. BUYER BEWARE. This is a great on-the-go product. I've had it for about 6 weeks and I really like its work. This is a quality vacuum that outperforms many vacuums I've tried. It's really uplifting. It repeats the outlines of the room and does not leave out any spots. It does a great and thorough job. It gets under beds, under most of the furniture in my house, between objects, in and around chairs and tables. I am very happy with this vacuum cleaner, I wish the dust bin was a little bigger. It absorbs so well that the basket fills up quickly. I figured that since I can run it when I'm not at home, the best solution to this is to schedule it more often so it's not as crowded. I just dump it when I get home and it's ready for the next run! I would definitely recommend it to anyone who needs a vacuum and doesn't want to take the time to run it themselves. For me it works every other day. It has also helped with my allergies. MUCH LESS DUST IN MY HOUSE!
