After buying this item, I charged it up, and then put it in a box for usage later. 2 months later, I pulled it out of the box, using the provided power connector, it's sparking when I plug in the barrel connector. I'm no electrical engineer, but this can't be safe? The plug and device both show a transfer of 29.4 volts / 0.8A. I don't get it.
