My husband converted a converted 1993 Chevy van into an RV, which I really like, but didn't like the musty smell of the old van or the leftover "party" smell from the previous owner. I tried a can of industrial odor control gel last summer, but it didn't change that signature Van smell. I could tell when my husband was working on it or even driving because of the smell that clung to him. I bought these bags because there were 4 so figured I could fit them anywhere in the van. Before we left on our two-week summer road trip, I hung them on the van's side window blinds using the hooks that came with them (very strong!). The next day the smell had already diminished and by the end of the first week it was completely gone. I even threw some bags in his shoes when the smell of wet shoes got too strong! When we got home my husband joked that he kind of missed the smell of the van but I'm so glad it's gone. No more embarrassment showing the van to other people and apologizing for the smell. Even after getting rid of the bags I keep the hooks to use in the van because they are very durable and convenient. It's like 2 products in 1.
