See many reviews complaining about receiving this device in Chinese. I had English set. Check out many reviews complaining about problems with the update site and update procedures. The instructions that came with my device worked perfectly. Only crashes I've encountered. -- The installer will ask you to plug the device into a USB port to turn it on and find the registration number to download the updates. When you do this, Windows tries Plug and Play and tells you it can't find any device drivers. Just ignore it, they will be downloaded and installed with the update if you extract it. As long as you plugged it in to get the registration number, it will tell you to install the Micro SD that is in the car. Which probably shouldn't be removed if the reader is enabled. Therefore, you need to disable the card, remove it, and then extract the download to a micro SD card. After installation, remove the SD card, reinstall it in the reader, and reconnect the reader to install updates. Once you've downloaded the full service pack, you never know when you'll be able to start on the Lambourghini (NOT), but I figured I had to be prepared in case one breaks in front of the house. It didn't take long to connect to the Verizon 4G Hotspot. It's all a matter of a few minutes to download. Hooked it up to a couple of cars and couldn't believe the information it was returning in the data stream. A truly amazing reader for a shade tree mechanic! Great tool for the professional mechanic. Nothing to regret!
