Brilliant, simple design. Does exactly what it should and does it well. A real time saver and hassle. Pre-installing hangers on a joist, ledger, or lintel is fine, but with lumber up to 1/2 inch wide it can result in a fairly uneven surface unless you pre-sort by width and allowable Area. In my opinion this eliminates the advantage of timely pre-installation. It also works well in hard-to-reach places when it's difficult to hold the hanger and nail at the same time. , 2 pieces, especially when I work alone as I like. Hang the beam, nail the hangers in place, no fuss - just a pair of hands. FastCap is a great company that makes great products.
