Soft, quiet pads, may need extra power for hard stops

I bought a pair of these pads for two road bikes, both with Shimano Sora calipers and derailleurs/brake levers. In both cases I replaced the old calcined pads. Both setups were easy to fabricate, the dimensions and bolts matched well, and the brakes were easy to adjust. It is difficult to set the track with these brakes, but there was no squeak, so everything was fine. These soft pads directly impacted the smooth braking performance of both bikes. Braking power was drastically reduced, however, meaning braking was smoother, especially at higher speeds, and required a lot more power and lever compression to increase stopping power. Even compared to some soft Shimano pads, they are still softer. Personally, I ride on semi-rural roads where I rarely need to brake hard to a stop, but it will definitely require my hands in drops to get the most power possible. In hoods it is almost impossible to apply maximum force to them. So if you ride in areas that require sudden stops and maximum stopping power, these pads probably aren't for you. If you want smooth, soft pads that are expected to wear down your discs slower and control most of your stops, these should do the trick. Also, I wouldn't expect them to last long after they were so soft to begin with. But the value for money is still pretty good.
