I usually hate phone cases in general, because they make your phone extremely bulky and typically work against the aesthetics of the device. However, for the first time ever, I recently dropped and broke the screen of my iPhone 8+. I got the screen replaced and decided I was going to invest in a case.I've always been interested in a wallet case, if only to cut down on the number of things I have to keep in my pockets. I did research on about a dozen different options and eventually settled on this one because of the price, style, fact that it was on Revain Prime and the 3,000+ reviews that average out to an over 4-star product. The positives:- Does it what it says: provides what seems like a fairly protective case, as well as a place to hold a few cards (ID, debit/credit cards, etc.)- Looks really premium and stylish, despite the low price.- Magnetic clasps seem to work really well. unless you put more than four cards. I would say four is the max, because putting a fifth or even a few dollar bills makes the back bulge a little bit and seems to prevent the magnetic clasps from holding consistently. The negatives- The absolute WORST part of this case is the difficulty it presents in trying to charge your phone. At home, I use a wireless qi charger, and this will NOT charge on it when the wallet is closed. However, if you open the wallet and set the phone just right on the pad, it WILL charge. Not a huge issue, but sometimes if I'm drunk or extremely tired or just forgetful, I may not remember to open the wallet and fidget the phone around to make sure it begins charging. This issue is magnified by the fact that this case that the lightning charge port on the bottom is slightly blocked. You can surely plug it in, but it prevents a strong connection, and moving the phone even slightly may interrupt any charging. When driving, I usually plug my phone in, and it's really annoying that when I get to where I'm going, there may not have been any actual charging happening.- Obviously, this is a wallet case. It's not designed to be slim. But it can feel a bit bulky. I'm a dude, so my hands are big enough to hold it normally with one hand, but if you're a female with smaller hands, it might be a bit large. Just be aware. In summary, I like the case enough to keep it. Freeing up a pocket is really nice, and it prevents any "OOPS I FORGOT MY WALLET!" issues. The issues with charging do make it a less than enthusiastic approval, though. Can't recommend it to everyone because of that.
