Not bad but might need a few bug fixes

So this is the 4th stereo I've installed in my car since I got it a little over 2 years ago. After buying some heavy, cheap, cheap, unbranded Chinese products, I bought a pioneering, well-respected brand from China, a product that worked great, but the UI required so many touches for basic things that it was driving for me made insecure. It's the complete opposite. The interface is great. I don't have to go through multiple screens just to adjust the volume. FACTUAL! Slide your finger across the screen to increase the volume. I LOVE IT! If you want to skip a track, lift your hand from the shifter, swipe the screen, not the touch button, but the screen, and the next track will appear. Switching between screens, e.g. However, such things as switching from the currently playing audio to the home screen to select a new source, or changing folders on a USB drive, is like queuing in a DMV. This is the biggest crap. I knew what flaws to expect from this device. But I didn't expect longer transitions. More than once I thought this thing hadn't received an order, and then when I pushed the button again, the situation changed. To be honest I'm planning on emailing JVC and depending on their response I might swap them out. Were it not for the delay in response, it would kill. The sound quality is excellent. DVD plays well. Wireless performance was STRONG even without the antenna connected to the rear. The lack of color key bindings is weak, but it was one of the compromises I expected.

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • Useless features
