These shoes are very narrow at the ankle. My twins could not put them on themselves (as I had hoped with laceless shoes) and neither my husband nor I were able to successfully help them put them on. The sole of the shoe was wide and long enough for my child's foot, but we couldn't fit the heel into the shoe. (These children have narrow, thin feet.) Also, they actually look a lot like water shoes.
