This is my first time using an electric shaver and I am very happy with it. It's definitely a learning curve of sorts from the razor and it took my skin a while to get used to it (the brochure says it was only meant to be used for 3 weeks for some reason) but I can do one in a lot less time get a really close shave and effort. As many have said, it's not *quite* as smooth as a razor, but I think it's more than enough for most uses. I also really like the little trimmer. Tip: If like me you're chubby or have loose skin, you'll need to stretch your skin a little harder than you would with a razor to make a snip this short. .
