Review on Genuine GM Front Control Arm Bumper - Part Number 15153958 by Todd Gill

Bought these for my '04 Tahoe LS 2WD after changing the shocks and my old bumps are almost gone. They weren't available in local stores so I had to wait a few days. It took 10 minutes to install in my garage. Simply lift the front end a few inches, then turn the wheel fully RIGHT on the driver's side and LEFT on the passenger's side. It's much easier to get behind the wheel. I just pulled out one of the old ones with a screwdriver. The other was so brittle it broke in half and I had to cut out the remaining rubber to get it all the way out. Finally, to insert new ones, put some grease or oil on the underside to make it easier to slide. Customs service. Tilt it back so the latches snap into place at the back and away from you. Then simply use a flathead screwdriver to push the tabs down until they snap into place. You won't damage this foam, it's durable. I don't know if it improved my ride quality, but I definitely feel better knowing they've been replaced.
