Review on πŸ”‘ GM Genuine Parts 4 Button Keyless Entry Remote Key Fob 10372542 by John Hall

Revainrating 5 out of 5

This is the AC/Delco Genuine OEM Part

I needed to add an extra key fob to my 2007 Corvette so I purchased this OEM part which exactly matches the original key fob I had . The previous owner lost the original second key fob. Luckily the fob I had had an office key attached which is needed to program the new fob. Programming a new key fob is something of a Rube Goldberg affair. You need to start the car, roll down the driver's window, open the glove box, open the trunk, place your original working key fob next to the switch, and then turn off the car. Then you take the trunk key, put it in the trunk lock and turn it 5 times within 5 seconds. The Drive Information Center screen will say "Ready to Program Keyfob #3" (2 keyfobs are factory installed so this is #3). Place the new key fob in the slot in the glove box with the key ring facing out and the buttons facing the passenger door. You wait for the message "Ready for Fob #4" to appear on the driver information center screen. You can then take the new key fob out of the slot and it should be ready to use. You can test this by trying to lock or unlock the doors or power open the trunk. If it works, it's done. Mine worked the first time. It's best to have two fobs because if you ever lose your only fob it's quite difficult to program a new one without already having one programmed and for goodness sake don't lose your trunk key (I have one leave out a few additional cuts). The Corvette only lets you program four keyfobs, so mind the ones you have!
