The first biggest problem with them is that you really have to bite down pretty hard and in the right place to get a flow. Camel bread rags are much softer and let through at least twice as much liquid. The second problem I have is that the notches holding the piece in the straw have to be slightly larger than the camel's because once I put it in the straw I can't put it back at all. This makes it very difficult to remove the bottle from the packaging. Third, a silly little problem - the yellow on/off valve is hard to move. It requires a little effort, which sucks when you run or bike. Little things that distract from what you're doing. All in all it works and it's not a bad product. There are only a few downsides. I'm hoping opening the bite valve outlet with a knife gives me more flow as I have to strain to get a drink when you're out of breath and exhausted, it sucks.
