Brighter than stock and looks more compact. It was important for us that the indicator worked when braking. It does. Flashes several times when braking, then lights up red. When the turn signal is turned on, it immediately turns bright red while the turn signal remains amber. Very easy to install. Purple is running light, red is brake, black is ground. You have to put the pins in the connector, so be careful which is which when you remove the old one. (Purple usually goes to the stock brake blue wire) The turn signals are plug and play.
