I have two RAM slots in an old HpTouchsmart. Each slot had 1GB of RAM for a total of 2GB. I took out a stick of Ram and installed this 4GB flash drive in its place (leaving the second stick that was already there). The computer did not recognize the new flash drive. It has shrunk to 1GB. I realized that when flash drives are of different brands, the computer recognizes only one of them. So I removed both old sticks and just put this new Samsung in a slot. Suddenly I have 4 GB and the computer is surprisingly faster. It can allow multiple YouTube videos to be played simultaneously. If I buy a second flash drive I can upgrade it to 8GB, but I probably won't as I already have other newer computers with more RAM. It was just nice to update this old one by updating its abilities like it was when it was new. (Windows 10 slowed it down until I updated it with this 4GB flash drive).
