Review on 🔌 Efficient AIMS Power 6000W Pure Sine Inverter Charger: 48Vdc & 240Vac Input, 120/240Vac Output 50/60Hz by Derek Davie

My 30 year old Trace SW 4048 (2) inverters did the trick, but at my Colorado off-grid ranch the output was limited to 40 amps. While shopping I found this a 12kW Aims inverter that puts out 100 amps of output power. I was in dire need of my air compressor and welder. I ordered it and was surprised when it was delivered within 5 days by FedEx Freight! Wow! Good service! I spent a day swapping out and re-wiring the new inverter and 10 minutes after the power outage I turned it back on with the new unit and MAN it's quiet! Just a slight hum at idle. compared to my Trace units which sounded like a jet engine every time the fans came on. no matter! I've been working with the device for a few days now and I'm thrilled. I had a small installation problem and had to contact AIMS technical support. I spoke to two different technicians for two days and my questions were answered. real technicians on a real phone speaking English. Hooray! Finally, a few notes on packaging. The device comes on a mini pallet and weighs just over 100 pounds. The instruction manual consists of 28 pages in fairly well translated Chinese. The device is made in China. There are some instructions in the manual that aren't well translated and quite confusing when trying to figure out how you should set them up. But in general everything is fine. There is NO real user input on the device. There are 6 DIP switches that you can set to your liking. There is a POT for configuring which batteries you are using. There is another potentiometer that allows you to adjust the incoming AC power to prevent the device from overloading. Other than that, the only user access you have is a display that provides useful information but doesn't allow the user to enter data like my old Trace devices did. It's designed like an inverter, install and forget. Now. Do I get 30 years of it?
