I was thrilled at first sight. Seems to be as described. The protective caps were a bit odd, but that didn't bother me. I've had her for a day now and boy was I ever wrong. I give 2 stars for the steel and a plus for the price. It's not the best quality anyway. What they describe online and what I have are two completely different things. I hate to say it but the top quality item shipped was the bag. Each of these grooves has a wave on the edge. You are not straight. I'm not sure if this was intentional or not. The description says they go through a 2 month polishing process but I have scratches all over them. I do not think so. About half of the tools have off-center handles and gaps around the shank. Some even have what looks like teeth marks at the base, no one knows which instrument. I'm not sure what caused them, but whatever they're put together, they don't work. The best part is that for my #5-20mm the blade was loose and when pulled out it came straight out exposing a 1 3/4 inch shank. Are they worth it? Eh may be. You will be the judge. i like steel Sharp out of the box. Holds that edge and cuts wood easily. They have potential but with little work on my part. Addendum: I would like to add that I contacted Winkelsteel with my concerns and have only good things to say about the customer service. They responded quickly, were very professional, polite and willing to address and resolve my concerns. I think it will be a fantastic set once they improve the production.
