I thought they were harder to put on and take off. No, they just go. Maybe too easy, really. I've used them on Mexican Coke bottles, Jarritos soda bottles, beer and wine bottles. Everything worked, I had no liquid leaks even when I turned the bottle upside down. It's unlikely I can do an accurate test for carbon dioxide leaks, but it seems very low, if any. However, I can imagine that increasing the level of carbon dioxide in the bottle could cause that cap to fly right off the bottle. Because of this, I want the inside diameter to be a few thousandths smaller. I want to feel like I actually did a tiny job capping the bottle! However, I like them better than the cones I bought at the same time. The cones work, but they stick out of most bottles far enough to accidentally pop out. It would be almost impossible to push them away. If you're carrying a bottle, you can easily pull it out of a full bottle by just grabbing the cap to hold the bottle, but I can't seem to pull it off. Anyway, I didn't know I needed it, but now I just throw away my wine bottle corks. gone when I open it. It's much better and easier. And they last a long time, are difficult to lose and very easy to clean. Oh, a drop of water directed into the lid just before use makes installation very easy, improves sealing and improves removal. I think it's a bit like using a clothes hanger with a suction cup.
