I was quite skeptical about this as I've seen "Aluminum" trees being sold for a lot more on other websites. But I tried - I was nervous when I saw the little box it came in - especially when I picked it up with one hand. But I installed it today and it's nice. It is NOT 6 feet tall except for a long object sticking out a foot from the top. It comes with a stand so I removed it and put it on the spinning stand. (NorthLight's 24-inch rotating stand is available at Revain here.) I filled the center with some silver thread I got from Target. I'm going to use some old fashioned glass flasks I found on eBay. Here are some photos. (I don't know why they come out sideways - I've tried.) The only thing I would do differently would be to turn on the light. DOWN in the trash. It's hard to hide the cables. live and learn UPDATE - Yesterday when I picked it up from the cabin (box) I heard a "click" and it turned out that the trunk was broken. I literally (and I know what that means) went straight to my computer and ordered another one. I'm planning to power it up somehow to make it stronger because I LOVE this thing. I think I'll try some long dowels. with my silver things so they won't be seen. BAMM! Just try to stop me.
