An almost perfect "childlike " case for my 5 year old autistic iPad Air 2!

Ever since our son was 2 years old and diagnosed with autism, we've always had an iPad just for him, stored in a working 'baby' case with a glass protector. We learned the hard way that sharing our iPad with him wouldn't work. Now he is 5 years old and still doesn't speak, so the iPad is both an entertainment device and a tool that helps him communicate with us, so this is very important in our house. Recently the old used iPad 3 we bought him died so I bought him a refurbished iPad Air 2. This case is designed specifically for the iPad Air 2, not the iPad Air. Here's what I like and dislike: I've looked at all the alternative "baby cases" available for the iPad Air 2 and they don't have the features that originally drew me to this case or some other instances are obnoxious. Path. Here's what I wanted from the suitcase: - I wanted a suitcase with handles on more than one side, the perfect size for little hands as my son loves to walk around with it and sometimes hang it on cupboard and drawer handles or both hold hands at sides until he gets in the car and watches the video. All of the other kids' iPad Air 2 cases have either one handle, no handles, or two handles, but they're awfully big and cartoonish, with legs, arms, heads, or giant emojis on the back. No thank you. I needed a case that would make the device as thin and portable as possible without adding bulk or weight. I wanted a case with a built in easy to use kickstand on the back that would get out of the way. I LOVE the footboard on this case and it's very easy for my son to work by himself which is a big bonus. The viewing angle is great and it's not that easy to flip over. Other baby suitcase coasters are not as comfortable and durable, they simply add volume. I wanted a case that would leave open access to the charging and headphone ports without having to open the silicone flap. I hate them! In some cases for children that I considered options, they were. I don't understand if it's for protection from water or dust, if a child plays with it they'll either drop everything down the toilet or not. Those little port plugs are useless. In my opinion, this cover is almost perfect! Here are the only things that I think could be better: The handles are tilted slightly toward the back of the iPad. It's not a problem at all, but they would serve the iPad much better if they were angled INSIDE into the screen. The reason is that if this iPad is subjected to a significant drop or face-down fall, the screen is likely to be damaged. If the buttons were angled, they would protect the screen from being able to fall face down by lifting it off the ground slightly. The silicone is thick and soft, which is great, but I think this case would be lighter and more protective if made from a slightly stiffer foam or material. - All corners are good for cushioning, which is great, but is a little lacking in the front and back. So this case isn't perfect, but it's damn close! This is the BEST I've found for kids with an iPad Air 2. In my opinion the pros far outweigh the cons and I should have the features I like and avoid the ones I don't like. For the most part it's really well designed and as a parent of a special needs child who sees the iPad as more than just a toy I really appreciate it! I sincerely hope this helps another parent who owns an iPad! I also like that it comes with a screen protector. I already had a Tech Armor screen protector so I can't comment on the quality of the one that came with it, but I'll save it for later when we need it. The strap that comes with it is great too! We haven't used it yet, but I think it's a really great idea! I definitely think you get what you pay for with this case and I highly recommend it! I did NOT receive this item for free or at a discount.
