This is my 6th attempt at stereo on Revain. I've tried different brands hoping to find one that has all the simple features I need and actually works properly. This is the second Aboutbit stereo I have purchased. The first had most of what I wanted but not everything so I decided to try a different model with a different interface hoping it would have what I wanted. I really wanted to like this model, but like the previous ones, it is inferior in several respects. Pros: * Simple interface, easy navigation. * Fast loading, doesn't take forever like most Android stereos. * Physical volume control and buttons. I know it's personal preference, but I need at least one volume control, I can't stand touching volume buttons.* Bluetooth connects instantly and displays artist/song/album when streaming music via Bluetooth is.* Returns to the screen I switched on before you park the car. (That is, if I'm listening to music via Bluetooth and turn off the car, it immediately goes back there when I turn the car back on. If I'm listening to the radio and turn off the car, it goes back to the radio.) *The volume just drops a little if you do a backup. On a previous Aboutbit stereo I had the sound completely muted when backing up and there was no way to change it which was very annoying. Here you have the option of switching this function on or off. Now for the bad: *One of the main reasons I bought this was the steering wheel controls. Judging by the description and pictures in the description, they should be. However, there is no place in any of the menus to program the buttons on the steering wheel. On the previous Aboutbit stereo I had the ability to program the buttons and they worked flawlessly. Not sure if it was just a feature someone forgot to set at the factory or what. If this feature was installed the other small complaints I have about this stereo wouldn't be as great. * The volume always goes back to 15 when I turn the car off and on again. There is an option to set the volume to a different level that works (I set it to 20). However, there's also an option to turn the feature off entirely, so it just comes back at the volume you left it at when you turned the car off, but that doesn't work. * I had problems with songs in random order. restart when streaming music via Bluetooth. I don't know why, but that wasn't the case with the previous stereo, so I can only assume that's the problem.* The brightness of the screen doesn't seem to affect anything. You can set it whatever you want, but that won't change. There are only 2 levels of brightness and that's it, so I'm not sure what the point of letting you choose what you want. * The front of the stereo looks bad. Cosmetically, it's not very pretty. The previous Aboutbit stereo looked much better, the plastic was matte black instead of the glossy painted black which looks very cheap. I also don't care for a physical next/back button that stays light all the time and doesn't dim along with the rest of the screen.* There are several different vehicle logos to choose from as your charging logo. . It's very limited though and I don't know why half of those stereo manufacturers don't include more. There's really no reason not to do it. I drive a Lexus, which is a common make, but the closest I got was a Toyota. Pretty disappointing. All in all, it wouldn't be a terrible stereo and I'd be inclined to abandon it if it had steering wheel controls as it's supposed to. I have contacted the manufacturer twice via the email address they provided with the stereo and have had no response. It's been over a week and nothing. I would be less upset if they at least answered me. Especially if they try to help me solve the problem. Very bad customer service.
