My review is about how Oakley Hallbrook XL with Prizm and Polarized affects tinted windows and windshields. I have Oakley Jawbreakers for cycling with Prizm technology and there have been times when I got in the car with them and didn't see the impact I'm getting with the Hallbrook series. With Hallbrook XL lenses I see a vertical color spectrum. I look into my tinted windows. I have both 3M Crystal and 3M Tint. All show either vertical color schemes, i.e. the colors of the "rainbow" arranged vertically, or as spots on the windshield and tinted side windows. I also notice purple stains on the office building windows, which are also tinted. It looks great when it comes to enhancing the green of the bushes and the yellow of the street lines, but everything else is a mess. I don't see many people reporting this, but it exists. I don't think it has anything to do with polarization, but rather the prism technology Oakley uses to manipulate the color spectrum. Does not work with tinted windows. Which is also weird because it doesn't work with my Oakley Jawbreakers and Prizm technology. The frames fit well and the exterior colors look great. I'm just wondering if this would be a safety driving issue which is why I bought this pair of Oakley Hallbrooks. I hope this helps others to become aware of this issue.
