I got it and installed it the same day because I've heard so many good things about it and had to see it for myself. All I can say is WOW. Please note that this is NOT a "WLAN Extender". Thats much better. It creates a Wi-Fi mesh network. Completely different technology than extenders. I live in a two-storey townhouse with an area of 2000 square meters. ft. My router is in the front office on the second floor. There were several bad spots downstairs where the signal literally dropped to near zero. In addition to about 12 wireless devices, our home doesn't have a choice of landline phone service, and our cell phones have negligible coverage, so we rely on Wi-Fi calling. When walking, it was frustrating to constantly drop calls due to no signal or when switching from Wi-Fi to a Wi-Fi extender. This product has made an incredible difference - I was blown away. And internet access and streaming is now what it should be, throughout the home. Our wifi doorbell camera responds much faster than streaming services. I tested the Wi-Fi speeds in each of the main areas and we went from 16, 39 and 78 Mbps to 188, 192 and 217 Mbps! Since our house does not have a basement, I only used 2 of the 3 Deco washing machines and that was enough. Keep in mind that our internet plan is designed for 200Mbps (measured over a network connection, wireless connection is typically lower). Deco will only increase coverage and speed depending on what your ISP provides. In our case, the internet speed was okay, but the WiFi coverage was poor. It doesn't "boost" the speed you have - it's designed to spread coverage throughout your home. This system uses your current modem but replaces your existing WiFi router as long as they are separate to turn off Wi-Fi and let Deco work as a WiFi router). I added a Netgear 8-port switch to the Main Deco as my desktop PC, VOIP phone and printer are not wireless. Installation was easy - literally 10 minutes with her app and she walks you through everything. I installed it while my wife was running some errands and when she came in I excitedly told her to call. She noticed the difference immediately (as did her mother, who often dropped calls). Our streaming TV over Wi-Fi is now stable and stable anywhere! It also works further on the outside, front and back. I am very happy with this product and would recommend it for similar use cases. It is so nice that the product works as advertised and even exceeds expectations. Throw away your old WiFi extender. A NOTICE.
