For the price I was skeptical about buying this but I'm glad I did. Upon receipt, I tested it by placing a 4 foot carpenter's spirit level along the vertical and horizontal laser lines. It was absolutely correct. My first use was to hang a 4ft x 3ft vanity mirror. Wall markings are not required, except for shelving locations. Used this layer on a camera tripod. Now for the good. As I was finishing the last few mirror clamps, my girlfriend walked behind me and accidentally knocked over the tripod with the laser level attached. Remember that the tripod has been extended about 4-5 feet. The plane fell face first to the ground. Luckily I had fixed the alignment mechanism. I picked it up again, unlocked the level, placed the laser beams back on the wall, and grabbed the 4-foot carpenter's level again. Still dead on accuracy. Now I'm impressed.
