They're fine. It took me a year to go from a standard 18G piercing to a 0G connector. I used saline solution to clean the earbuds and jojoba oil to ease the stretch. With stainless steel I didn't have any infection problems like with acrylic. The main disadvantage is the groove on the tunnels that holds the rubber stopper. It's deep and they tended to grab and get stuck on the inside of the ear, making new stretch marks more painful. Some people have also said that 2-8G tunnels seem small, I agree. I bought some 2G dual tunnels and couldn't connect them after getting 2G with this set. And I had to buy a separate set of 1G cones to make the final jump to 0G. Generally they work, but there are definitely better options out there.
