The first thing I noticed when I opened the plastic was the terrible smell. Not as bad as a dead mouse, but almost. Both carpets are aired on the porch. Whether I ever use them or not depends on whether there is an odor or not. Ironically, the description says it has no harmful chemical odor. I suppose it's maybe the natural smell of latex? Besides, they're good. They are thinner than I expected and a little smaller than they look in the photos. I have a "wave" design and I think it's cute. The edges are wrapped with thread. Attached is a large card with care instructions. I don't plan on machine washing them, although it says you can. A label sewn to the underside of the rug states that it is polyester and that it is highly flammable. Made in China.
