Review on Bosch 607335 Water Assembly Washer by Dan Sturm

Yes, you can repair the dishwasher yourself.

Mom called a technician to fix her quiet (40dB) Bosch dishwasher. Does not drain water after a wash or rinse cycle. After 30 minutes and $250 the guy told her the water pump was broken and they stopped making it. She needed a new dishwasher and when she wanted to order a new one he was able to deliver and install it for her. After my mom said "thank you for your service" to him as he walked out the door, she called me and told me what had happened. Nonsense. As a former maintenance mechanic, I took it upon myself to figure out what I needed to do to fix their dishwasher. After a little research I ordered this OEM pump for an overhaul. After a lot of swearing, knuckle banging, struggling with horribly designed clamps with a vise and screwdrivers in tight quarters, I completed the repair. Pulling the old one out and putting the new one in was no fun. 8 months later the dishwasher is still working, all my wounds have healed and my mom hasn't had to spend over $1500 for a new dishwasher. Don't get me started on her washing machine.
