Such a disappointment

I ordered this item from Amazon based on it would fit my car. So after a few hours of retail work and finally some free time I decided to install this. So before opening, I measured all the screw holes and checked the connection to make sure the harness would fit before opening the box. It turned out that the fan was too thick for the existing hole. The fan was for a 2004 2.0L Mitsubishi Lancer, not a 2.4L Mitsubishi Lancer. Now I'm stuck with a fan I don't need.
