Rather than "fits too little” rather "tight”. The length was perfect. I bought two pairs, one for my 9 year old (girl) and one for my 11 year old (girl). I was expecting them to be a bit small, but instead they were really cozy. Too cozy for my tall (and fit) 11 year old. She's tall for her age, a healthy weight, but the pants were too tight around the hips. She could not squat comfortably. My 9 year old daughter is a bit fat for her age but the pants fit her well. Still comfortable, but she could move normally. The pants were warm and kept you dry without being too bulky.
