Review on Enhancing Connectivity: Tripp Lite USB PS Adapter Simplifies Cross Device Compatibility by Derrick Lowell

Revainrating 5 out of 5

The best USB to PS/2 keyboard adapter I've ever used

I am a software developer. I type a lot. Daily. My favorite keyboard is the original Microsoft Natural Keyboard, which only supports PS/2. I usually go for motherboards/systems with PS/2 connectors, but if I need to use a monitor connection box these are all USB these days so I either stick with a boring keyboard or a USB to PS/2 adapter Celebration. I tried everything I could find and they all failed about once an hour so I had to unplug everything to allow the microcontroller in the adapter to reset itself. It is obvious that this is untenable. One day at work my admin put one of these in a pile they wanted to get rid of so I grabbed it. Wow. This is the first adapter I could use. I've been using it for a couple of years now and it probably freezes once a month requiring the USB to be unplugged for a minute, but that's bearable. And I can still use my Natural KB. I just bought another one for home use and in case the first one fails.

Pros
  • A quick and easy way to connect a USB computer to a KVM switch, or a PS/2 keyboard and mouse to the USB port of a Computers to connect
Cons
  • I will add later
