This little lamp is great, my craft table. He hovers right above me and I can work with him until the evening. At night it can really brighten up a small spot like a desk or bedside table, but during the day its glow outweighs the sun. So if you are planning to use this lamp as extra lighting during the day, this may not be the lamp for you. It's cheap and yes it looks very plasticky but the value I get from it is amazing. This is a great lamp and I love all the options. The timer is also good because when I fall asleep with it on, it turns itself off.
