My 82 year old mother lives with us and grew up with boiling water on the stove in the saucepan. Nothing we did could convince her to use the microwave for tea. And now we wish she hadn't used that, and the stove too. The Ovente kettle is the perfect solution! First, she loves the color purple and he was attracted to her immediately. Using the kettle is so easy! I explained it to her once, pointing out the minimum level and the on/off switch, and she was an expert with the first pan. (She has a memory problem so it's just better) The base has a short plug in the middle that fits effortlessly into the kettle. Switch it on and the beautiful LED indicator will light up, clearly indicating that the water is being heated. In no time you have boiling water and shortly thereafter it turns off! No more empty pots on an open stove. It brings incredible peace. Also, my husband brews gallons of mint tea. He used to make iced tea, but now he uses an electric kettle to boil a couple of pots of water and his tea is ready in minutes instead of overnight. not sure what to ask. We just boil water in a kettle. There is no "aroma" from the kettle. Does it bring out the best in your tea bag? My one-cup mom says yes, and my one-gallon husband agrees.
