I have a lot of ubiquitous stuff and am always suspicious of using third party NICs, especially with SFP+, because they are so finicky. I have to say I'm pleasantly surprised. I use a Ubiquiti UniFi XG-16 and an Aquantia 10gbe adapter and it was an instant fit. I communicate with him only on 1gb. Sad. Known issue with previous XG-16's (I have version 6) so I wanted to be sure and rule out an adapter or cable so I decided to try this cheaper option to confirm. Definitely a problem with the switches. With this in the AFP+ port, everything worked right away. So impressed. Definitely recommend to anyone using XG if you need more baseT.
