This is as expected. I may buy an even larger size in the future to have more choice but for now they will suit my needs and crafting needs. There's nothing wrong with that: no rust, no problems, no warping, no bent cheap metal. The clasps seem to fit together and hold up well. If you want to use beanie pom poms on knit hats, you may need larger size than this. I bought them mainly for this, but I think they are a bit smaller than planned. Not the tool seller's fault, I underestimated and didn't measure the tool I'm about to swap out. However, I think they will work as well. And I have other crafts that I use the same bars for and they will work for that too.
