I've been using Microsoft's ergonomic keyboard for a long time. It was great if it weren't for the awful membrane keys. I've been looking for a good mechanical ergonomic keyboard for a long time. All had issues with design, layout, or build quality. None of them matched the Microsoft keyboard, so I lived with less than ideal key-feel. Then I saw this keyboard and argued about it for a few days because of the premium price. I finally pulled the trigger and I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS THING! It does almost everything the MS keyboard does right and eliminates its weaknesses, especially the membrane keys. Benefits* Exceptional build quality. From the keys themselves, to the RGB lighting, to the included (detachable) braided USB-AC cable, this keyboard looks great.* Superb ergonomic design. It meets all ergonomic requirements for wrist flexion, extension and ulna flexion without being unconventional.* Cherry MX Brown pushbutton switches. These are the ideal keyswitches for touch typing. They impress with their pleasant feel, constant stroke, ideal weight and quiet operation. You can easily use this keyboard in your work environment and not disturb your colleagues.* Versatile configuration. With a split design that allows the left and right halves to be separated by up to 6 inches, it can be adjusted to accommodate a variety of sitting and writing styles. I still prefer my keyboard to be center paired, but the ability to split the keyboard is great.* Very responsive tech support. The company was exceptionally quick to respond to my setup questions. Cons* The software is a bit rough. They're still working on it. However, they are very open to feedback and have already released a keyboard firmware update to fix some of the software/firmware bugs. They continue to develop improvements that can be easily downloaded as they become available.* This is BIG! Make sure you have enough space on your desktop. With a width of 563mm (22 inches), it takes up quite a bit of desktop space. Additionally, the large palm rest at the front of the keyboard requires significant depth.
