hated tools I have to read the manual before I use it every time. Are the 4 different options different moisture ranges or different types of wood? If you look at the block itself, it just doesn't say , just the Wood 1-4 option. If there was some kind of sticker on the item and a different description underneath, that would be handy for me. lost. I've tested various wooden items in the yard, logs, logs, planks and gotten different readings for the same piece of wood depending on where the wood was hit. Sometimes just an inch difference makes 10%, so what am I reading here? Do we need to keep the tips clean, if so with what product, also there is no sticker on the instrument telling me to do so. So if you enjoy reading little manuals every time you use a product, or rarely find the need to use it, test your woodpile to see if it's seasoned properly, if it works for you, or if you're getting results how i achieve no idea. I took it for a friend who owns a sawmill in the hope that if he can determine if the wood he cuts has dried properly before using it, he might have better luck with that. I don't have a short term perspective so I have to read every time, other people with a working mind who don't have Lyme disease can remember other settings, I couldn't.
