This case adds some bulk, but not much. I think you could get a slimmer profile with just silicone skin. I can still put my tablet in the stand with the lid on - it's not so thick that it doesn't sit in the cutouts anymore. The front flap swings outwards by 180 degrees. The cover itself is easy on the eye and feels comfortable. It definitely protects the tablet from scratches and possibly minor falls. However, this isn't a shockproof case, so it doesn't offer enough protection if you drop your iPad several feet and it lands on an edge or corner. All holes are aligned, the cover does not interfere with button presses and does not muffle tablet sound/volume. All in all a very nice cover!
